The City School District of New Rochelle contracted with Public Consulting Group (PCG) to review the school district's special education programming and services. As part of its review, PCG gathered input from parents/guardians/caregivers of students receiving special education services. PCG has issued this report with recommendations for the school district's consideration.
Statement from CSDNR on PCG report:
"The Special Education Review comes at a key moment for our school district and community. We are grateful to PCG and to the dozens of families, staff, and students in our community who contributed to this review," said Superintendent Jonathan P. Raymond. "The findings, and more importantly, the recommendations in this review serve as a guide and a blueprint for the improvements that are urgently needed to serve our students with disabilities and their families. While I note the successes and changes we have begun to implement, the ongoing efforts to make systemic improvements will take significant investments of resources, an unwavering commitment to excellence, and the collective will to come together and do whatever is necessary for our students, whose gifts and talents are extraordinary and who deserve to achieve their highest potential."
